Sconce Cocoon

Author's wall lamp by Lashmanova Design, embodying the moment of birth and the process of creation.

The embodiment of the idea of inner transformation, hidden strength and fragile protection. This luminaire has become a material image of becoming, protected transformation and the birth of the new. Its shape resembles an organic cocoon, within which the mystery of transformation takes place: darkness envelops, warmth reveals, and finally light appears. The project is inspired by the archetype of birth, both spiritual and physical.

The frosted glass breathes a soft light, as if something alive is shining through from within. Its surface is mottled with fine lines, like veins or cracks of time - a delicate trace of fluidity and growth.

The underside is cast metal, dense and rough, with a deliberately rough texture. Not polished, but as if it had undergone a metamorphosis. This “armor” preserves the traces of the creative path, reflecting the chaos of the primordial matter from which form is born.

Cocoon is an object about the moment when light first appears within the darkness.
